Hello, yes this is Shan and yes i'm still alive. It has been almost 8 months since I last posted but I can say that I have had so much to share but so little time to post. Right now I am writing this post from my new home in Liverpool. If I hadn't mentioned before, I lived just outside Manchester but 2 days ago I moved to the centre of Liverpool to start my new journey at Liverpool John Moores University. Already I can tell how much I am going to love this city.
I am currently studying Applied Psychology in the hopes of developing a career in Drama Therapy (strange, I know). I know that a lot of people viewing blogs today are of quite a young age range where they might be thinking of moving on to higher education. All I can say right now is DO IT!!!! I have only spent two nights in my new little flat with 4 other flat mates and i'm having so much fun. Obviously I wont be having so much fun when the actual work begins. If you're anything like me, you'll be losing sleep over if you actually want to go to University or not. I was highly convinced that I would not receive the grades to get into my first choice (which is where I am now) and that id have to take a couple of years out to try and find a different way to get into uni besides finishing my A-levels. On the day of my results I was so worried about checking my UCAS application to see if I had got into LJMU or not. I found out I had got in even before I found out my results. The thing that ran through my head was that maybe in a years time, my results would not be good enough and that something is telling me that this year is my year. I've had one of the hardest years of my life this year for many reasons, and I am going to keep private. I may discuss them in the future but right now I am still trying to cope. Through all of this darkness and down times, LJMU is the one thing that made me happy and excited to start this new chapter. Ill keep this blog hopefully up to date as I may have quite a bit of free time now. If you would like to see my little room for the next year please don't hesitate to leave a comment. I will also answer questions if you have any. Please leave suggestions of what you would like to see and I will try to get them done.
Thanks for being so patient.

University
Hey guys, just thought I'd give you a little blog post so you don't think that I have disappeared off the face of the planet. This one is about something that is HUGE in my opinion and that is university. So recently I sent off my UCAS application which over in the UK is one of the most popular ways to apply for university. Anyway, I've recently just got 3 offers out of 5 of the uni's I've applied for. One is from my main choice. This is something I've aspired to since I was tiny. But now it really quite scares me. Moving out from my home, meeting strangers and the workload are just the starters of things that terrify me. The only thing keeping me strong is knowing how proud it is making my family and how much I will enjoy the experience of it. These next few months are going to be crazy hectic, full of revising and pressure from college and my family. I know it will be ALL worth it as I think 2015 is going to be my year. Please comment below if you have any advice for me or what your experience were like at university. Thanks everyone!

Positivity
Hey everyone, sorry of you don't like this sort of post but it might get a little deep. I'm always told that I have so much energy and that I'm always happy. I don't know why, but that is true. Not many things can upset me. That isn't because I don't have a heart, its because I don't let some things bother me at all. I don't see the point why you shouldn't live everyday like its the last. Because, it could be (deep, I told you.) Why should you let little things ruin the good that is yet to come. People focus too hard on the negative my opinion. Don't dwell on the negative that you are experiencing. Focus on the good after this.
I understand that sometimes its hard to be happy in certain situations. I feel that too, but what you need to keep thinking is that, "every cloud has a silver lining." Look forward to the little things, like I get really excited for the weekend even though I may not do anything, its the break away from the stressful week that relieves me. Even in hard times, try your hardest to smile.

Zoella Beauty
Hey everyone, just quick review for you guys. This is the Zoella Beauty line, pretty much every single piece apart from the new bag that has just been added but I do not have that yet. This line is sold in select superdrugs and on the feel unique website. It has such a cute design and colour scheme that is very Zoe. If you aren't sure who Zoella (Zoe Sugg) is then where have you been hiding? She is a very popular vlogger/blogger who specialised in the beauty genre. In conjunction with her online success she has brought out a book "Girl Online" and her beauty line. Anyway, onto the review. I have fallen in love with this ever since I got it at Christmas. My favourite's from this is the fizz bar and the candle. They all have very similar fresh, floral scents which reminds me of spring. However, the fizz bar is a lot nicer smelling, in my opinion. When placed in your bath, it releases a very sweet smell, sweeter than the other products. But I still love them all. You can have such a relaxing bubble bath with your bath fizzers, candle and shower gel. Once finished, you can get out smooth your skin over with the body lotion, use your makeup that's in the bags and then cover yourself in a mask of blissful mistful body mist. Youre then ready for a nice day out smelling amazing. In my opinion the prices are reasonable ranging from £5-£8 so it isn't expensive, especially for something as nice as these products.
Well that's everything for this review, I hope you enjoyed it. Leave a comment below if you've tried this range and your opinion. Thanks for reading!

December Favourites
HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE, how is the new year treating everyone? I hope you've had a great Christmas holidays but now its a new year and time to be strict with myself and blogging. So as my welcome to 2015 post, I will share with you my December favourites.
So just above is a picture of all my favourites from last month. Some of these were bought by myself or given to me by friends as Christmas presents. So lets start off with the most obvious:
1. My drum kit in the background - this was given to me by my mum for Christmas and I can honestly say it was up there with my favourite present. Ever since seeing The Summer Set in November I've become obsessed with watching people play the drums. I told my mum I wanted a drum kit and she didn't fail, she bought me a desk size one. Im not good at playing one bit, but it was just a little present to make me laugh.
2. My eye shadows - oh my gosh, I am so in love with this palette. This is the BH cosmetics 120 colour palette 3rd edition (such a mouthful.) I did ask for this, for Christmas and I have such a bond with it. Sad, I know. But the pigmentation of these colours are amazing and there is SO many colours to choose from. From winter colours to summer colours. I was slightly disappointed with it as when it was posted, it hit the floor and a few of the colours were cracked, that was easily solved just by pressing them back down into their pans. Other than that I love it!!!
3. Phone case - below my eye shadows there is a blue phone case which my mum gave to me. It has the lyrics to "Crazy Girls" by Paramore on it, in the form of messages. Paramore is my all time favourite band and to add to my merch collection is always a good thing.
4. Lipstick- next to that on the right is my go to lipstick for the winter and that is the Rimmel lipstick from the Kate Moss range in the colour 107. Its a dark red/plum colour and it just goes so well with a nice red scarf in the winter. The only downside to it that it can come off quite easily in my opinion so I pair it with a lip coat, which burns like hell.
5. False nails- these nails were given to me by one of my best friend for a Christmas present and that is the elegant touch nails in the glitter collection called shimmer and shine. I wore these nails for Christmas as I usually get them professionally done but I didn't want to waste an opportunity to wear these gorgeous nails. Thank you Eve my darling x x x
6. Nail varnish - when my falsies have come to the end of their use, I've fell in love with painting my nails black. I'm never usually a fan of black nails on myself but I have been changed. Its a plain black nail varnish that I got in a nail set for Christmas from my auntie. It goes with everything I wear so its perfect.
7. Body butter - behind the nail products you can see a pink tub, that is soap and glorys righteous butter. It has been such a god send in December as my skin gets really dry and chapped so I applied this every night before bed and sometimes throughout the night and it made my skin amazingly soft. It was given to my by my bestfriend as she had SO many tubs of this, its unreal.
8 Conditioner - next is my kitoko advanced hair therapy conditioner. This is a conditioner made especially for dandruff/dry scalps. I made my hair feel so soft, me and my mum were sat playing with it for ages. It wasn't expensive at all, it was only 99p! It can be for men or women but it does smell like men's aftershave, which I'm okay with. I would highly recommend it.
9. Cleansing face wash - another addition to my skin care routine is this cleansing face foam. It comes from the same brand as my exfoliating face scrub "tea tree." I use this after I've exfoliated my face in the bath and in the morning before I put my makeup on, it really has made a difference to my spots.
10. Fan journal - This book was a Christmas present off my mum because it is Paramore and they are my life. But this book is just put together mainly from accounts that other fans have written about what paramore have done for them, or how they first found paramore. Its nice to look at how much one band can mean so much to one person and their stories behind it. This book is called "Paramore Decade 2004-2014" by Jeff Torkel. It is such a nice read.
11. Jewellery box - THE LAST PRODUCT. You are all probably grateful, I admit this was a long post. Anyway, this jewellery box was needed so much. I have so much jewellery but nowhere to keep it. so this box has been a life saver. on the inside it has different compartments for rings, necklaces and bracelets etc. It is just a fake leather bound box with a small love heart clasp on the front so it goes with the colour scheme of my room!
FINALLY, its the end. Sorry this post went on forever, but I had a lot of favourites from this month. Thanks for taking the time to read this and leave a comment what you would like to see next and/or what your favourites were this month. Love you all.

Being Thankful
HO HO HELLO EVERYONE, sorry that its been a while, I guess I've not quite got the hang of blogging on a set basis. Anyway, Christmas is literally around the corner and I'm probably more excited than a little child. But I just wanted to talk about something that I've been mulling over in my head recently, and that is how some people aren't thankful. Personally I am not the slightest religious so I do not celebrate Christmas for the original reason but I see this time of year to be thankful. As I'm English we do not celebrate thanksgiving but I see Christmas as being a time for this. I'm am hugely thankful for my family, friends and all the opportunities I have had throughout my life time. This is why its my FAVOURITE time of the year but I cant understand why people can be so selfish to not be grateful for what they get. Some people are all about materialistic goods and if they have the latest designer clothing but that isn't what its about. Its about being with family and for the religious people out there, its to celebrate the birth of Christ. I'm pretty sure we can all be materialistic sometimes, especially when you get socks for Christmas, like "wow, some socks. I love them!!" But remember, some people don't even get that. So all I'm trying to say is be thankful for everything you get because there are people out there who don't get as much as you do. You and I are so lucky compared to these people. I'm not going to rant any longer. I hope you have a Merry Christmas and have a great time in what ever holiday you are celebrating!!:) Leave your favourite thing about the holiday season in the comments below.

Drama Exam
Hey guys, I've decided to make up for my lack of posts by posting a second one tonight. This one is all about my drama exam yesterday. I just want to share my experience with you.
So last night, I had to perform as a part of my A Level drama exam. I can honestly say it was the most nerve wracking thing I've done in my life. Acting is a big part of my life as it will tie in with my future career. It also gives me such an adrenaline rush, being on stage with everyone's eyes on you. For me, its a way of forgetting reality for about 25 minutes while I become someone else. But to be marked on how well you do it really is very daunting.
However, my exam went very well. It did mess up in one section, but knowing how to recover when this does happen is a skill that you are taught. I played a character called Mari and our piece was based on the performance of "The Rise and Fall of Little Voice" by Jim Cartwright. She was a very bold and brassy character but it was something I could relate to so it wasn't that much of a challenge.
This would be the last night we would perform for our A Level as the rest will be theory work. I loved every single minute and I would like to congratulate the rest of my drama family for how well they did! What a great way to end our practical drama.
Here is just a small picture of me in character with one of my closest friends. Ignore the caption as it was stolen from her snapchat.
Leave a comment below what you love the most and if you have ever performed before.
